South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) is scheduled to happen on September 12 and 13, at the Sharjah Expo Centre. The hot ‘n’ happening stars of South Indian cinema is expected to take part in this second edition of the much-anticipated award nite.

The prestigious panel of experts have chosen the nominees of the awards, in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada and the winners will be chosen by an online voting system. The winners will be announced at the venue. The two day celebrations will be full of action packed celebrations.

The day-one will comprise the 'Generation Next Awards Night', Debutant and Music awards, while the 'Popular Awards' will be held on day-two. One of the highest honorary awards at the Siima Awards this year is the SIIMA SRI award which will be given to Actor Prabhu Ganesan.

SIIMA Sri is an award for an actor with a social conscience. For the first time ever in the history of India, that an award has been instituted to an actor with a social conscience to recognize and honour his effort towards the betterment of the underprivileged sections of our society.
