The veteran cinematographer and director Balu Mahendra is turning actor in his own Thalaimuraigal .
The film directed by Balu Mahendra and produced by Sasikumar under his Company Productions banner, has new faces.


The director is doing an important role in the film and the first look of the film is striking. It is meaningful backside shot of a grandfather and his grand-son, which conveys the title of the film in a subtle manner. Thalaimuraigal has music by Ilaiyaraaja. Balu Mahendra is directing a film after a seven year break.
