Kamal says “I was more interested to become a director by seeing KB sir and MSV"

Tamil ace director K Balachander (KB), who took part in the trailer launch event of Tamil classical movie Ninaithale Inikkum said that finally he has won after 34 years.

Ninaithale Inikkum, which was released in 1979, is getting digitally restored and will be released soon. The movie had Kamal Hassan, Rajinikanth and Jayaprada in the lead roles. It was directed by K Balchander.

Talking in the event, K Balachander said, ” Kamal Hassan was not satisfied with the outcome of the film in those days. But the film is now getting released after 34 years. See Kamal, Finally I won.”

The original movie was simultaneously shot in Telugu as Andamaina Anubhavam. The majority of the film was shot in Singapore.

In response to this, Kamal replied, “I was more interested to become a director by seeing KB sir and MSV. I thank KB sir for making me an actor, if I had took the direction that day I would have come by bus to this event.”

“KB sir said he is the winner, but today we all have won and we all are one, added Kamal.

Ninaithale Inikkum also featured Geetha, Nakul, SV Sekhar, Jayasudha, Narayan Rao and Sarath Babu in the important roles. The main attraction of the movie was the music scored by MS Vishwanath.
