Madhavan aka Maddy was in town recently for 100 years of Indian Cinema event hosted by Tamil Nadu government. In fact Maddy did the AV of the event on the concluding day, which was liked by all.

Now the latest is that the actor has finally signed to do another Tamil film to be directed by Sudha Kongara who last did Drohi. He will be playing a retired boxer in the untitled film.

To fit into the role, Madhavan went through a tough session where he not only trained in amateur boxing under the watchful eyes of Hollywood experts specialising in training actors, but also worked extensively on his appearance.

Maddy looks deadly in his new beefed-up avatar and is also spotting long hair and a beard.

The actor says It’s the most physically challenging role he has done so far and has spent a lot of time in the gym trying to look the part. The shoot of the film starts in December.
