Tamil movie Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam, which released on September 6, got a thumbs up from the critics. Actor Sivakarthikeyan was hailed for his performance in the movie.

Sivakarthikeyan has expressed his gratitude to the audience in social networking site, twitter. Actor tweeted, “VVS collected over 13 crores in 4 days.Heartfelt Thanks to each & everyone who watched it in theatre. tis success bcos of YOU, thanks again.”

It is reportedly being said that Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam has minted Rs.11.85 crores. With this, actor Sivakarthikeyan has added a fifth hit in a row to his credit. The actor’s earlier movies like Marina, Manam Kothi Paravai, Kedi Billa Killadai Ranga and Ethir Neechal had created quite a roar at the Box Office.

Siva’s last film Tamil romantic comedy Ethir Neechal, which was produced by Dhanush, reportedly minted over Rs.15 crore at the box office on an investment of approximately Rs.5 crore.

Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam deals with the story of irresponsible youths, who are forever involved in a tug of war with the senior citizens of the village. Apart from Sivakarthikeyan, the movie also features Sridivya, Sathyaraj and Parotta Soori in the important roles.

D Imman has scored the music for Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam. The film also marks the directorial debut of Ponram.
