Report mills have it that Venkat Prabhu's Chennai 600028, 2007 Kollywood block buster is set to be remade in Hindi for Bollywood audiences. Debutant Yazad will be directing this remake venture titled Kirkit.

Yazad is an associate of director Bejoy Nambiar of Vikram's David fame and the latter is producing Kirkit for his associate. Buzz on Kirkit is that Shiva's role in Chennai 600028 will be replaced by Siddhant Kapoor, son of Shakti Kapoor, while Kannada actor Dignath will be essaying Jai's role.
