Actor Srikanth has got the Tamil and Malayalam remake rights of the hit Telugu film, Swamy Ra Ra, and is all set to play the lead in its Tamil version. The film, he tells us, will go on floors soon.

Srikanth says, “I liked the film very much and thought it would be good to remake it in Tamil and Malayalam. I’ve acquired the rights now, and I will be starring in the film’s Tamil remake. I’m holding talks with a couple of directors, and will announce the cast and crew by the end of this month. I’m currently shooting for Nambiar, and will wrap it up in a few more days. Om Shanti Om is also nearing completion. After these two films, I will start work on the remake.”

Sudhir Varma’s Swamy Ra Ra, starring Nikhil and Subramaniapuram Swati in the lead, is a crime comedy, and released to much critical acclaim early this year. While the Kannada remake of the film is slated to go on floors soon, we hear that producers are vying for its remake in other languages, including Hindi and Oriya.
