There was buzz going around in K-Town after several dailies reported that Ajith had expressed his dissatisfaction after watching Arrambam and was also very upset with the scene where he holds a ironbox over a baby, Reports added furthermore that Ajith had decided not to do such negative roles.

However Director Vishnuvardhan in a interview to a leading portal has thrashed these rumours. The Director said after watching the movie Ajith had hugged him and thanked him for giving one of the best films of his career. Vishnuvardhan added Ajith sir's family also watched the movie and they loved it too.

In regard to the iron box scene, Vishnu revealed that the scene was already mentioned in the script and if Ajith sir didn't like it, he wouldn't have done it.
