Yes, you read that right. Mahath admits he is in love with ace Tollywood director Puri Jagannath. At least, in his upcoming Telugu-Tamil bilingual.

The actor’s next project is titled Puri Sir, I Love You, and Mahath says he’s eager to start shooting for the film.

He says, “While the film’s titled Puri Sir, I Love You, we are yet to finalize the title for the Tamil version. In all probability, it will also be the name of a popular director or actor. We’ve got the required permission to use Puri sir’s name in the title. The film is a pucca rom-com, directed by a debutant. I play a foreign return, who has no clue about the film industry in the country. The film will go on floors from this month.”

Meanwhile, the Mankatha lad is kicked about shaking a leg with Ilayathalapathy Vijay in Jilla. “We are shooting a song sequence now, and I can’t put it in words how it feels like to watch Vijay dance. He does not take more than one or two takes for a sequence. His style is inimitable, and with Raju Sundaram sir choreographing it, it’s just a treat to be part of the song. We will also be shooting for the opening song soon,” he says.
