Director Raghavan has wrapped up the shooting of his film Manja Pye, starring Vemal, Lakshmi Menon and Rajkiran in the lead, and is now busy with the post production work.

He says, “More than the chemistry between the hero and the heroine, the one between the hero and his grandfather will be much talked about. This is the first time that Vemal and Rajkiran are working together, but the two bonded well on the set. They had become so much involved with their characters that the unit hands will always call out to them as taatha and peran.”

The director recently shot a song in Pollachi, featuring Rajkiran and a younger Vemal. “Lakshmi Menon plays a college student, and her character is quite cute. We recently shot a sequence in which she celebrates Pongal in her college, and Vemal drops by with Rajkiran to get the two introduced to each other. This is another sequence that the audience will find interesting,” he says.
