It was not long ago Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Vaanganna Vanakkangnaa from Thalaivaa became a chartbuster.

The song Kandangi Kandangi from the film Jilla, will have Vijay and Shreya Ghoshal singing the number. The song is composed by musician D Imman. Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu has penned the lyrics for the song.


Illayathalapathy Vijay's has sung a melody number for his upcoming movie Jilla. Recently Vijay has sung chart-busters like Google Google from Thuppakki and Vaangana Vanakangana from Thalaivaa.

Now Vijay recently recorded a melody number for his upcoming film Jilla, which has music by D Imman. The song is duet number and Vijay has Sung it with Shreya Ghoshal.
D Imman said, "I'd recorded this track and given it to Vijay more than a month ago. He listened to it several times, because he wanted to practise the tune, which will be his first pure melody in Tamil cinema. After recording Shreya Ghoshal's lines for it, we got Ilayathalapathy to come in on Sunday and recorded his voice in a session that lasted many hours. He was very reticent about singing a melody number, but we're very happy with the way it's come out. It has a lot of folk elements too as Jilla is set against the Madurai backdrop."

Jilla is directed by debutante Nesan and will have Vijay, Mohanlal and Kajal Aggarwal. The shoot for the film is on at a rapid pace.
