'Aruthapathi' a thriller with a difference for Vidharth

Looks like Vidharth has become a favourite for small-budget filmmakers. The Mynaa actor is currently committed to doing eight films in Kollywood — he plays the lead in Aal, Vizhithiru, Ula, Pattaya Kelappanum Pandiya, Nagesh, Kaatumalli and appears as Ajith’s brother in Veeram.

Now, the latest to join this growing list of projects is Aruthapathi. The film is directed by Sajin Varghese, who makes his debut in Tamil. He has assisted well-known Malayalam film director Vinayan. The team is introducing Aishwarya Dutt, a Bengali beauty from Kolkata, as the heroine.

Others in the cast include Thambi Ramaiah, Mano Bala, Devadarshini and Aadhira. Popular Malayalam composer and singer Jassie Gift (of Aaromale fame) is the music director of the film. Aruthapathi went on floors recently at a city studio and unit members say that it will be a thriller with a difference, and the script, especially, will be quite fresh to our audiences.
