Music composer turn producer GV Prakash Kumar is all happy as his maiden production Tamil film Madha Yaanai Kootam is well received by the audiences, especially the action drama lovers.

Though Madha Yaanai Kootam is similar to many Madurai based rustic and violent drama films, its gripping narration made more audiences step in and got mixed reviews from critics. Newbie Kathir and Oviya Helen starred Madha Yaanai Kootam that released in Dolby Atmos has good performances from the lead stars alongside good camera works and background scores.

Even after Christmas releases Karthi's Biriyani, Jeeva-Trisha's Endrendrum Punnagai, Balu Mahendra's Thalaimuraigal and Aamir Khan's Dhoom 3 are doing fairly well at Chennai box office, GV Prakash and JSK Films Madha Yaanai Kootam succeeded in making its presence felt and stood a strong competitor at BO.
