December arrived and still Kollywood has many Tamil films waiting for release dates. Theaters in Tamil Nadu are gearing up with four Tamil film releases the first Friday of December namely Kalyana Samayal Saadham, Thagaraaru, Ego and Vellai.

Dayanidhi Alagiri's Meeka Entertainments presenting Thagaraaru featuring his cousin Arulnidhi of Mounaguru fame and Poorna in the leads is releasing tomorrow [Dec 6] in about 250 screens in Tamil Nadu. Along with Prasanna Venkatesan and Lekha Washington's Kalyana Samayal Saadham, which is directed by RS Prasanna and being distributed by Thirukumaran Entertainments with music by Arrora.

Vellai and S Sakthivel directed Ego starring Velu, Anaswara and Bala in the leads are the two small films competing with Prasanna's KSS and Arulnidhi's Thagararu at Chennai box office this Friday, on 6 December.
