Nayanthara`s upcoming Tamil – Telugu bilingual Anamika which is a remake of Vidya Balan`s Hindi super hit Kahaani is getting ready for a release in February.

Yesterday (January 30) its Telugu trailer was launched in Hyderabad. The Tamil trailer will be launched shortly. Director Sekhar Kammula has made some changes in Anamika.Actress Vidya Balan had played the pregnant woman in Kahaani and she was featured with a baby bump in the first look of the movie, which did not focus on any other character of the film. But the first look of its Telugu version - Anamika features Nayantara without baby bump. Apart from Nayanthara, actors Pasupathy, Vaibhav, Harshvardhan Rane and others form rest of the cast.

Kahaani is a thriller film directed and co-produced by Sujoy Ghosh. The movie was conceived and developed by Ghosh, who co-wrote the film with Advaita Kala. It revolves around the story of a pregnant woman named Vidya Bagchi, who is searching for her missing husband in Kolkata during the festival of Durga Puja. The film explores themes of feminism and motherhood in male-dominated Indian society.

MM Keeravani is in charge for music. Vijay C. Kumar is the DOP. Endemol India, Logline Productions and Select Media Holdings are the producers of Anamika.
