Generally, Kamal Haasan sings at least one song in his films. Vettaiyadu Vilayadu was the only album in the last ten years that didn’t feature his voice.

It is indeed a big surprise because the songs Kamal crooned in the first part of Vishwaroopam were hugely appreciated.

The word is that, most of the songs in this album, composed by Ghibran are Hindustani based and since Kamal Haasan’s voice has a Carnatic flavor, the perfectionists that the composer-director duo are, they have opted for authentic Hindustani music specialists.
