Director Bala has entitled his forthcoming film as 'Thaarai Thappattai', one of the renowned music forms in Tamil Nadu. The movie is based on Karakattam dance form.

National Award Winning film maker Bala’s next with Sasikumar hasn’t making any delays in creating buzz often. Followed by the update of Sasi Kumar goes unnoticed among the public with his new look and he will be seen as Nadaswaram expert, now the team has locked their title for this flick. If sources are to be believed, among many considerations Bala has zeroed in the title as “Tharai Thappattai”.

Post Sethu, Pitha Magan and Naan Kadavul, Maestro Ilayaraja teams up again with Bala over this flick! Sources also claims this much expected project will also be Ilayaraja’s 1000th musical film in his career!! Though the numbers remains unclear, the hype began already with the video of maestro composing music for this flick. Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar will be pairing opposite Sasikumar in this film and she will be seen as Karagattam dancer.

Ilayaraja has composed 12 songs for Thaarai Thappattai, which has cinematographer Chezhian and editor Kishore among the crew.
