Kochi based Malayali girl Lakshmi Menon made her debut in films in Vinayan's Raghuvinte Swantham Raziya but shot into fame in Tamil with Kumki.

After a couple of hits in Tamil, she is back in Malayalam, as the heroine opposite Dileep in Joshiy's Avathaaram.

"I found the role in Avathaaram really interesting and it is an important role as well," says Lakshmi.

She plans to balance Tamil and Malayalam from now on. "Of course, I will never leave Tamil films and in fact, I have received some good offers from Tamil right now. I have not signed any other Malayalam film but will certainly like to do some good films here," she told us
