The hot and happening leading lady in south, Anushka who is pairing up with Thala Ajith for the first time in Gautham Menon`s Thala55, has started shooting for it in Chennai.

“Singam 2″ actress Anushka Shetty is playing the lead female role opposite Ajith, in the actor’s upcoming untitled movie.

The untitled movie is tentatively called Ajith 55 or Thala 55 by his fans as it is the 55th film of the lead actor Ajith Kumar. Recently, the first look of Anushka Shetty has been released by the production house. Before revealing her looks, the makers revealed Ajith’s look in the untitled movie few days back.

The recently released dashing new stills have revealed the stylish looks of Anushka clearly. The new stills feature Ajith and Anushka along with the director and the team in the shooting spot. The place where the shooting is made is believed to be in a coffee shop.

While Ajith is seen sporting a blue denim shirt in his natural salt-and-pepper hair, Anushka looks ravishing and lovely. She appears with a long hair, wearing a salwar suit and having a big sized blue hand bag in her hand. It looks Anushka is certainly playing an important role in the film. Also, the stills reveal Ajith and Anushka as a good pair indeed.

Anushka Shetty is pairing with Ajith Kumar for the first time and she is very much excited to be a part of the movie. Directed by ace director Gautham Menon, Thala 55 has Harris Jayaraj scoring the music and Australian DOP Dan Macarthur handling the camera. The movie is produced by AM Rathnam.

Arun Vijay is playing an essential role in the movie. Earlier, it was said he was playing a villain role, now it has been clarified by the actor that he is not playing the villain in Thala 55, but an important as well as a powerful role. Comedy actor Vivek has also joined the cast of Thala 55. He is said to be doing a role that packs in both comic and emotional elements to the film.
