Meagaamann being directed by Magizh Thirumeni is produced by V Hitesh Jhabak. The chaste Tamil title of the film means ‘Captain of the Ship’.

Meagaamann features Arya and Hansika in lead roles along with seven baddies in the form of Sudhanshu Pandey, Harish, Ashish Vidyarthi, Ashutosh Rana, Avinash, Maha Gandhi and Mahadevan.

After having completed a month long schedule in Goa, the team is in Chennai where they will begin their next schedule on the 1st of June, which is likely to last for around 34 days. Meanwhile the team will also be on a location hunt in Tuticorin where a part of the movie is set to be shot.

Thaman is the music director of Meagaamann and is currently busy working on the scores. Speaking to our correspondent on the progress of the film, director Magizh Thirumeni states, "I am quite happy with the way things have been progressing. 65% of the film shooting is completed. With the completion of Chennai and Tuticorin shoots, the film will be wrapped around the 1st week of July from which point, the post production work will take over".
