Studio Green which has distributed several popular Tamil movies in the past has acquired Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of PVP Cinemas Vallavannukku Pullum Aayudham (VPA). The film has been censored with an U certificate, and is said to be a roaring masala comedy.

Earlier PVP Cinemas was planning to release the movie on May 16. Now that Kochadaiiyaan release got postponed, PVP and Studio Green have advanced the release date to Saturday, May 10. It is a smart move as not only screens are available, but it also avoids May 16, the counting day of Indian elections.

VPA stars Santhanam in the lead role. It's a remake of Telugu super hit – Maryada Ramanna by ace director SS Rajamouli. Mumbai Gal Ashana Zaveri makes her debut with VPA.

Solar Star aka director Rajakumaran ofThirumathi Tamizh fame (husband of actress Devyani) plays an important role in the movie. Siddharth Vipin has composed the music. Srinath has directed this movie said to be an entertainer.
