Usually, Kollywood imports from Mumbai, Kerala and several other places dominate the heroine slot in Tamil film industry.

This weekend will see three Tamil girls from Chennai having a release in Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu.

Chennai girl Janani Iyer who is riding a success wave in Mollywood after her Vishu Super hit – 7th Day has her next Malayalam movie – Mosayile Kuthira Meenukal releasing this weekend.

Another Actress from Chennai, Varu Sarathkumar ,daughter of Sarath Kumar is branching out to Kannada with her first Kannada movie with Kicha Sudheep – Maanikya releasing today (May 2).

Actress Regina Cassandra who also hails from Chennai will see her Telugu movie Kotha Janta with Allu Sirish releasing this weekend.

With their success in non-Tamil industries, one hopes to see them more in Tamil in the future.
