Vijay-Samantha starrer Kaththi first look was released on June 22nd. Now, Kaththi director AR Murugadoss has shared some more details about the movie.

According to him, the title Kaththi is justified as it closely connected to the story line. Vijay plays two characters Kathiresan and Jeevanandham in the movie. They are not father and son duo. Also he says the movie is not a gangster movie.

Kaththi is set in Chennai. Samantha plays a character Ankitha. Anirudh has composed the theme music just after four days of signing the movie.

He also dismisses all the rumors that Lyca Productions, the producers of Kaththi are close to Sri Lankan Government and says they are Tamils from Sri Lanka.

Kaththi’s shoot is making a brisk progress and the movie will release for Diwali.
