Ajith's untitled Gautham Menon directed new film referred by fans Thala 55, is making brisk progress. The unit is currently shooting in KL, Malaysia important scenes featuring Ajith and Anushka.

Thala55 is a big budget romantic action entertainer which has Ajith,Trisha, Anushka, Arun Vijay and Vivekh in important roles. The film has music by Harris Jayaraj.

Ever since the news of Trisha signing Thala 55 film is out, a section of media has been reporting that she is doing the second lead to Anushka!

But a source close to Gautham Menon unit clarifies that this is a parallel role to Anushka's and its a two-heroine subject.

Gautham had kept Trisha in mind when he wrote the script. Remember, Gautham had given Trisha her best ever role in VTV and she scored. The Jessie character is one of the best written female characters in recent times.

And Gautham would never call Trisha and give her a walk-in role. The buzz is that Trisha is playing a parallel role to Anushka and her character is the pivot around which the film revolves.

Trisha will be joining the shoot of Thala 55, in the next schedule of the film. Ajith and Trisha have a terrific on-screen chemistry as proved in Kireedam, Ji and Mankatha.
