Traditionally one of the biggest season in Kollywood is Diwali (Deepavali in south).This year many biggies are lining up for release on the festival of lights. As of now four Tamil films are looking at a Deepavali release.

The first to announce and block the Deepavali release was Ilayathalapathy Vijay's AR Murgadoss directed Kaththi. Then Vishal's Hari directed Poojai joined the fray, as two biggies can be easily accommodated for Deepavali.

A few days back Dhanush's KV Anand directed Anegan threw in its hat. Dhanush after Velai Illa Pattadhari is a big star with an opening, and trade is gung ho about the film.

And all of a sudden there are unconfirmed reports that Shankar's Vikram biggie AI has joined the Deepavali race. So there is going to be a mad scramble to get screens. However the trade feels that in today's scenario only two films will finally make it for Deepavali.

One thing is certain, it is exciting times in Kollywood, as four biggies jostle for theatre space this Deepavali.
