Actress Sriya Reddy who was busy with family business after gettting married to actor-producer Vikram Krishna, brother of Vishal is making a strong comeback to Tamil movies with Andaavakaanom.

After a five year sabbatical post Priyadarsan's Kanchivaram, Sriya has signed a women-centric film to be directed by Velu, a former associate of Suseenthiran. Sriya will be playing title role in Andaavakaanom.

Excited Sriya says, "Andaavakaanom offers a powerful lady character. It is out and out performance oriented and hence I decided to do."

Queried on what was her family reaction on her comeback. Sriya said, "My husband is typical Telugu Reddy guy and he is against her comeback. But Vishal supported me and asked not to leave the opportunity."

Further she added, "Suhasini Mani Ratnam is my close buddy, she inspired me and always persuaded me to follow my dreams."

"Andaavakaanom is a gutsy woman and not typical heroine. Its a small film with happening story in Kollywood." Sriya concluded.

Leo Vision will produce Sriya's Andaavakaanom. Movie is set in the backdrop of Theni and shooting starts from September.
