Popular director AR Murugadoss has been hospitalized due to food indigestion issues. He has been admitted to the Malar Hopsital in the city. On his condition, we hear that it isn’t serious, and that the director is all normal.

A little after lunch, blockbuster director A R Murugadoss‎ was rushed to the Fortis Malar Hospital, after he reportedly had a bout of nausea and felt faint.

The Thuppakki director had been shooting with Vijay and Samantha for his upcoming film Kaththi, at a location in Thiruvanmiyur when he felt failt.

"The director first complained that he felt uneasy, but wanted to continue shooting. When the threw up we decided to take him to the hospital for safety sake," said a source from the film's unit.

As soon as the 36-year-old director reached the hospital, the doctors there gave him the once over and then diagnosed it as food poisoning, "The unit is continuing their work as it is not serious. He has been working non-stop and just requires a little bit of rest," said a spokesperson for the film.

Kaththi has been in a spot of bother over the identity of their producer Lyca Productions - which fringe Tamil outfits have been alleging, has ties to Lankan premier Mahinda Rajapakse.

That aside, the movie's shoot is in it's final schedule and the audio by Anirudh Ravichander is due to be launched on September 18. When contacted, hospital sources said that Murugadoss was doing fine and "would be discharged in a couple of hours, at most."
