Kollywood is seeing a rush of releases also in the second half of the year. This Friday, on September 5th, theaters in Chennai will screen four new Tamil films- Amara Kaaviyam, Kathalil Thavire Verondrumillai, Pattaya Kelappanum Pandiya and Poriyaalan.

Arya's The Show People presenting Amara Kaaviyam introducing his brother Sathya and Mia George is one of the noted Tamil films releasing on Teachers Day. Cinematographer-director Jeeva Shankar's Amara Kaaviyam is an 80's real time love story set in college backdrop.

Malayalam- Rajadhi Raja, Villali Veeran. Hindi- Mary Kom. English- If I Stay, Life of Crime, Sin City are the other non-Tamil films releasing in Chennai from today [Sep 5].

Amara Kaaviyam special premiers have got good response and makers are expecting similar reviews from critics and audiences.
