The buzz is that that action film starring Vijay and Samantha in the lead has collected 47.7 Cr in India and 23.35 Cr abroad in the first weekend. With the film getting amazing response with 71.05 Cr collections, 'Kaththi' is set to break the 100 Cr mark in a few days.
In the history of Tamil films, only three films – "Sivaji", "Enthiran" and "Thuppakki" - have reached the mark and people are curiously looking forward to see the performance of Ilayathalapathy's film in the coming days.
The film starring Vijay and Samantha in the lead with Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh playing the villain hit the screens on Diwali. Directed by AR Murugadoss has been receiving amazing response among fans and the movie has apparently had a mass opening. 'Kaththi' after having facing various issues surrounding the release of the film has turned to be a hit film. Vijay plays dual roles in the film with Samantha playing the female lead and Anirudh scoring the music.
