Finally, STR fans have something to rejoice upon and yes, the actor returns onscreen nearly after couple of years, his Vaalu had hit the screens.

Simbu hasn't been on the radar for quite a while now, he has appeared in a few guest roles here and there but not as a hero. His much awaited Vaalu, starring Simbu, Hansika and Santhanam is finally all set for release said a source.

Dubbing for the film, Simbu has said that he had been through the process all night and hopes to complete his part soon. Reacting to his fans comments on waiting to see him back on the silver screens again, Simbu has said that he is eager on it too.

Trade sources says that financial matters being sorted out. The last film of STR is Podaa Podi (2012) and the fans had a glimpse of his appearance in Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya and Inga Enna Solluthu.

The movie also has the added hype that the leads Simbu and Hansika fell in love during the shoot of Vaalu and broke up before the release of the film. The chemistry of the two on screen will be something we all look forward to. Debut director Vijay Chander helms Vaalu while the music has been composed by Thaman. The initial release was to be in October and now November is the said month!

The actor is now working on Idhu Namma Aalu, which is pending with one song to wrap up the entire shooting. Vaalu is a breezy romantic entertainer with STR’s ex-girlfriend playing the female lead actor. The film’s musical score by Thaman has already made a good time on the audio charts. The official confirmation has been made by SS Chakravarthy of Nic Arts that the theatrical release is scheduled on December 24, a day before Christmas.
