Biggest recognition for Jigarthanda, Selected for South Asian International Film Festival

Siddharth's Karthik Subbaraj directed Jigarthanda has been officially selected for the South Asian International Film Festival.

Pizza director Karthik Subbaraj’s second directorial Jigarthanda starring Siddharth, Bobby Simhaa and Lakshmi Menon did exceptionally well, has unanimously gained highly positive reviews and made huge profits at the box office. Many notables, including, Shankar & Maniratnam had great words to share about the movie and Karthik Subbaraj had met Manirtanam for close to an hour and discussed about his sophomore movie.

The film was appreciated for its unique content and gripping screenplay. The latest update is that the film has been selected for screening at the South Asian International Film Festival.

The SAIFF will take place from November 18-23 in New York. Established and emerging artists from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh will take part in this international film festival.

Kathiresan produced Tamil musical gangster film, Jigarthanda was second to take part in SAIFF after Aranyakandam was screened and won best film award, a few years ago.

Happy Ending, Titli and X are the other films in the race with Jigarthanda at SAIFF. Along with movies from countries such as India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and within the Indian Diaspora will compete in SAIFF.

Jigarthanda is running successfully and nearing 100 days run with great reports from viewers and critics alike. Lakshmi Menon, Bobby Simha, Karunakaran has done important roles in the movie.
