Shankar-Vikram's I censored with U/A

Vikram I
Vikram's most awaited I has completed its censor formalities with U/A certificate from the board for its action sequences. Hence, Venu Ravichandran doesn't get tax exemption for his magnum opus.

Shankar directed I is a love-action-revenge drama that is locked to 190 minutes running time and makers are expected to trim the movie by 10 mins to make it a 3 hours watch.

Vikram I Movie Censor Report: Producers of Vikram's upcoming film I are likely to appeal for a re-censor of the film, says the buzz. According to our reliable sources, the film has a blood and gore scene and also a scene showing Vikram as a hunch which didn't go down too well with the censor board officials and as a result, they have awarded the film a U/A certificate.

Now, producer of the film is keen on making minor changes to these scenes to suit the regulations of the censor board and is trying for a clean U certificate. The producer is going to apply for re-censor either on Friday or Monday depending upon the availability of the slot. Directed by Shankar, I is expected to hit the screens on January 9 in Telugu and Tamil languages. Starring Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead roles, the film has music by AR Rahman.

Produced and distributed by Aascar Films will hit screens this Pongal, on 9th January. Stay tuned...
