Vellaikaara Durai gets 100 additional screens to meet audience demand

Vellaikaara Durai
Thanks to the encouraging response from movie-goers, the recently-released Vellaikaara Durai starring Vikram Prabhu and Sri Divya in lead roles, has been released in 100 more halls.

Directed by a reluctant Ezhil, who has made only 9 films in a career spanning 16 years and who has directed the likes of Vijay and Ajith in the past, Vellaikaara Durai is a full-length comedy featuring Sri Divya (toast of Kollywood at this very moment) and Vikram Prabhu as on-screen pair for the first time. D. Imman, who has the knack of associating himself with successful films, has done so once again without fail.

Anbu Chezhiyan has produced the film on behalf of his Gopuram Films which features Vikram Prabhu, who has either done romantic roles or action-packed films, in a comic role for the first time. Released on 25th December, the film entered its second week in theatres last Thursday. Encouraged by the response from the movie-goers to the film, the film was released in 100 more theatres last week.

Ezhil’s compact screenplay and the casual portrayal by the lead artistes and others has resulted in the film becoming a success at the box-office, Chezhiyan informs and adds that he would be producing many such films in 2015.
