Anegan first weekend collection
Dhanush's Anegan has taken homogeneous openings though released in limited screens due to Ajith-Gautam Menon's Yennai Arindhaal.

Despite threats of the Cricket World Cup matches which started on Feb 14, Dhanush starrer 'Anegan' directed by KV Anand has collected Rs. 30 crores at the box office in just three days. The film opened to positive response and has been running houseful shows. The number of screen counts for this Dhanush starrer has been increased to meet the demand. Dhanush who has jointly distributed Anegan in association with producers AGS Entertainments confirmed the reports.

"#anegan 2 days 20 crores don't know how 2 thank you all for this humongous opening.i feel humbled overwhelmed nd encouraged.#blockbuster", posted Dhanush in his twitter page yesterday.

Earlier today Dhanush has tweeted “Anegan crosses 30 cr in 3 days (tax free) without Telugu. Nandri nandri nandri. Now waiting for 20th feb for Anekadu release. Hoping for the best.”

Anegan is being touted as the biggest opening of Dhanush's career. The performance of the latest movie clearly indicates that the actor is turning as a bankable star in Kollywood.

Let us wait and see how Anegan will perform in the coming week/weekdays as it is crucial for the movie to recover its production cost. A good first week will ensure that the producer is in profits.

Anegan is an action-romantic thriller directed by KV Anand and produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram. Amyra Dastur, Aishwarya Deva, Karthik and others starred Anegan is a Harris Jayaraj musical running successfully in theaters and declared as blockbuster. Looks like the director is continuing his impressive track record after films like 'Ko' and 'Ayan'.
