Sivakarthikeyan's Kakki Sattai which has been censored with a clean 'U' certificate, about two weeks back has now a release date. The cop story is confirmed for a February 27 release worldwide.

Kakki Sattai is directed by Durai Senthil who earlier gave the super hit Ethir Neechal with Sivakarthikeyan and for the first time the actor has played as a cop in the film. Produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films, Kakki Sattai has Sri Divya, Prabhu, Sathish and Manobala in the cast.

Though Kakki Sattai was initially slated for Pongal, it got delayed due to post production works. Sources say that Escape Artists Madan who holds Tamil Nadu theatrical rights is keen on Feb 27, as it will give him one-month before summer holiday season starts. It means he gets a virtual solo release.
