Tamil superstar Suriya, who was delighted with his fraternity bagging eight honours at the 62nd National Film Awards, congratulated and surprised the winners with bouquets.
"Suriya sir sent each winner a bouquet of flowers. He personally met and congratulated them on their victory," a source close to the actor told.
This year, Tamil drama "Kutram Kadithal" bagged the Best Film Award in the language, while children's drama "Kaaka Muttai" pocketed three awards for Best Children's Film and for child actors Ramesh and Vignesh.
Director Vijay's "Saivam" bagged two awards for Best Lyricist-Na Muthukumar and Best Playback Singer-Uthara Unnikrishnan, while gangster drama "Jigarthanda" won Best Actor in a Supporting Role-Bobby Simhaa and Best Editing awards-Vivek Harshan.
Suriya is currently busy shooting for Tamil films "Masss" and "Haiku". He will soon start working on action-thriller "24" in the language.
