Dhanush's Velai Illa Pattathari has garnered huge success, which made the film's leading crew team up again for the sequel. Latest we hear that VIP 2 will start rolling in the month of April.

As KollyInsider earlier reported, cinematographer turned director Velraj is busy giving final touches to his script and promises the sequel would be more racy and entertaining than the original.

Music director Anirudh Ravichander, editor Rajesh Kumar, Vivek and few others will be retained for Velai Illa Pattathari 2 too, while Amala Paul will be replaced by another leading heroine. The Name of the heroine hasn’t revealed by the team so far.

Pre-production works of this Wunderbar Films production film are on. Meanwhile, Dhanush is busy wrapping Maari with Kajal Aggarwal in Balaji Mohan direction.
