Director R Kannan’s next will be with actor Vishnu Vishal. The film, which has an interesting title Poda Aandavaney En Pakkam, will go on the floors very soon, said Vishnu.

Vishnu Vishal has done only seven films so far but has created a fan base for him with his natural acting and choice of scripts.

He was last seen in Jeeva and is currently working in Idam Porul Yaeval, Kalukkuray Maaplay and Indru Netru Naalai.

He has now signed another movie Poda! Aandavaney En Pakkam, a slight variation of the famous Superstar dialogue.

This movie is produced by Vijay Raj and directed by R Kannan. Pisaasu fame Prayaga is said to be paired with Vishnu and the shooting is set to start in May, post which, the team will fly to Canada. It was earlier said that Attakathi Dinesh and Sri Divya were to play the lead, but Kannan has now clarified that though Dinesh was approached, he could not be finalised due to date issues.

"We will start shooting from the end of May in Chennai. We have erected a set resembling Ritchie Street in a studio and will shoot there for a month. Post that, we are likely to head to Canada to shoot the songs," says Kannan, confirming the news, and adding, "Vishnu will be essaying the role of a college dropout in the film. This film is a city-based romcom and Prayaga also has a crucial role."

Enquiries regarding this project revealed that it will have generous doses of romance, action and comedy to attract all sections of audience. PG Muthiah has been enrolled to crank the camera and Selva for editing. More details about the rest of the cast and crew will be out very soon.
