The press meet for Uthama Villain took place in Kamal Haasan house in Alwarpet today. Kamal Haasan was asked that why there is delay in releasing Vishwaroopam 2.

Kamal was asked, "There is news that the film Vishwaroopam 2 is delayed because there is some problem between you and producer Aascar Ravichandran."

Kamal, who had also directed Vishwaroopam 2 apart from playing the lead role in it, had said earlier that major portions of it were shot along with the prequel and it would make it to the silver screens very soon. However, the sequel is yet to see the light of the day.

Kamal Haasan while answering this question said, "Definitely there is no problem between producer Aascar Ravichandran and me. He has been telling some reasons for the release of the film. These reasons are not acceptable to me. It can be seen that he is not in a dire situation. In spite of this, I am not able to understand that why he is not releasing the film."

After the success of Vishwaroopam it was expected that the film Vishwaroopam 2 will be released. After this, Kamal had acted in the films Uthama Villain and Papanasam. The film Uthama Villain is being released on 10th April.
