After Lingaa, Rajini has not signed for any new films. His fans are eagerly waiting for the announcement of his next film.

There is also eagerness to know that who will be directing his next film. Shankar was taking great efforts to direct Enthiran 2 but Rajini did not give his nod. It was also mentioned that either A R Murugadoss or K S Ravikumar might direct Rajini’s new film. A lot of rumours are doing rounds about the next venture of the Superstar, and one among them is that Sundar C will be the director of Rajinikanth's upcoming movie.

We all know that our Super Rajinikanth is bit upset because of his recent box office disasters 'Kochadaiyaan' and 'Lingaa'. Rajini is now thinking about his future project very seriously.

Directors like Shankar and Murugadoss were rumored to be directing the Superstar’s next film. So sources add that Sundar.C may direct Rajini for his next. It is to be noted that Sundar.C earlier directed Rajini for ‘Arunachalam’ by 1997. He may turn lucky once again after 18 years to direct Rajini. An official confirmation is expected once Sundar.C finalizes the script.

"Rajini wants his next to be a light-hearted movie, loaded with comedy and commercial elements. He thinks Sundar would do justice to it," sources said. In the recent times, all the Rajini’s films were serious action oriented one. Rajinikanth is now interested to act only in comedy film which has all the commercial ingredients. Only Sundar C is capable of doing such films. So the official announcement regarding this film will be made soon.
