The last one and half years have been rather dry on Simbu's calendar, given that no movie was released, in which he did the lead role. But there were anticipations on release of his flicks 'Vaalu' and the more recent 'Idhu Namma Aalu'. Now the news 'Vaalu' is clearing up from the deck and is ready to hit the big screens

STR’s long awaited Vaalu has now announced a new release date-May 9 and the news has been confirmed by the actor on his Twitter page.

Nic arts, the producer of the film has issued paper advertisements saying that the film will release on May 9.

Directed by Vijay Chander, Vaalu has Simbu, Hansika, Santhanam, VTV Ganesh, Brahmanandam in its star cast.

It is worth mentioning that the shooting for Vaalu commenced in 2012 and the film is in the cans for almost three years, now the release date announcement from STR has come out as a big relief for his loyal fans.
