Romantic comedy film 'Romeo Juliet' starring Jayam Ravi and Hansika in the lead has been cleared by the censor board with a clean 'U'.

The film directed by Lakshamanan a former assistant of SJ Surya, has music composed by D Imman. While the movie is produced by S NandaGopal of Madras Enterprises, the audio rights has been bagged by Sony Music South. After Engeyum Kaadhal, Hansika and Jayam Ravi are teaming up for this romantic comedy film titled Romeo Juliet.

The filmmakers are trying to squeeze into the May 22nd release slot. Meanwhile, T Rajendar has filed a legal suit against the makers of Romeo Juliet to have the Dandanakka song removed from the album as it degrades him. He has also sought a compensation amounting to Rs. 1 crore, it may be mentioned here. If this issue is sorted out amicably, the film will be released without any hitches.

Interestingly, Bollywood music director Vishal Dadlani has been roped in to sing a song for music director Imman in 'Romeo Juliet'. If everything goes smooth the film will reach silver screens on May 22nd.
