Suriya's 'Masss' turns 'Masss Engira Masilamani'

The title of the film Masss which has Surya in the lead role has been changed as predicted by Kollyinsider earlier.


Venkat Prabhu is directing a film titled Masss which has Surya, Nayanthara, Pranitha, Samuthirakani, Parthipan and Premgi in the cast.

Suriya starrer Masss is gearing up for a massive release on May 29th and now the filmmakers have come up with a title change. According to the latest reports, the film’s title has been modified as Masss Engira Masilamani.

While director Venkat Prabhu maintained that the title was changed as Suriya’s character name in the film is Masilamani, sources in the trade say that it has been done to get the tax sops.

Since the Censor Board work has been completed, the film has to be screened for the tax rebate committee. We hear that the filmmakers did not expect an U certificate of a horror flick but having got a clean chit they are now eager to get the 30 percent entertainment tax exemption from the state government.

The film was supposed to be released on 1st May but after completing the Censor formalities, it has been announced that the film will be released on 29th May.

The film which has been produced under the banner Studio Green has the music of Yuvan Shankar Raja.

So far all the advertisements about the film were mentioned as Masss. In today’s advertisement it was changed as Masss Engira Maasilamani.
