Trisha, who had expressed her ambition to pair up opposite superstar Rajinikanth in at least one film before she decided to call it quits from the industry, is still nursing the hope as no heroine has so far been finalized to star opposite Rajini in his upcoming film to be directed by Pa. Ranjith and produced by ‘Kalaipuli’ S. Thanu.

In fact, Trisha reportedly vowed to her friends that she would have starred opposite Rajini before her marriage. However, she got engaged to industrialist Varun Manian early this year but the marriage has unfortunately been called off now forcing Trisha not to think of anything else for the time being except furthering her career in Tamil and Telugu.

While one of them asked Trisha whether she still thought it was possible for her to be paired up opposite Rajinikanth, another asked her whether she regretted not being able to pair up opposite any actor in the industry.

Replying to both the queries, Trisha said that she regretted deeply the fact that she hadn’t yet been offered any film opposite Rajinikanth. “I sure regret the fact that I’m not able to star opposite him. I’m his die-hard fan and in view of this single fact, I just can’t digest that I’m not able to pair up opposite him!”
