Actor Ajith sustained injury on his leg while shooting for a song sequence for his forthcoming movie Vedalam in Chennai. He was immediately rushed to a hospital.

According to sources, Ajith raised an alarm during the shoot as he felt unbearable pain in his leg, where he was operated a few years ago and a plate was kept. He was given medication by the doctors and they advise him rest for next few days.

He is fine and recovering well, said his family. Vedalam is directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by A M Rathnam. Sruthi Haasan, Lakshmi Menon form part of the cast. Music is by Anirudh, which are already topping the charts. Plans are on to release the movie this Deepavali.
