The social media war between the fans of ‘Thala’ and ‘Thalapathi’ intensified on Wednesday, as the title (‘Theri’) and first look of Vijay’s 59th movie were trolled in a never before way.

Alleging that the title was a take-off from Ajith’s ‘Therikkavidalama’ dialogue and ‘Theri’ theme in ‘Vedalam’, ‘Thala’ fans came out with memes. They also made fun of the first look, by comparing it with that of ‘Jilla’, Vadivelu’s ‘Eli’ etc.

Ajith fans said they were only reacting to what was did by Vijay fans when the title ‘Vedalam’ was announced and the ‘Therikkavidalama...’ dialogue was unveiled through a teaser some time back. They also said Vijay copied the popular punch of Ajith.

Meanwhile, the shoot of ‘Theri’, according to its makers, is in final stage. Written and directed by Atlee, Vijay will be in a dual role in this movie alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Amy Jackson. Music is by G V Prakash Kumar.
