Not just one or two, but Suriya is playing a triple role in ’24’, and one among them is a deadly villain. Director Vikram Kumar has revealed this best kept secret in a recent interview to a Tamil magazine.

“Suriya family actually approached me to remake my Telugu film ‘Manam’ in Telugu. But I narrated the story of ’24’ to Suriya and he was very much impressed with it. He immediately agreed to do the lead role, besides producing it,” says the director, who had earlier made ‘Yaavarum Nalam’ and ‘Alai’.

“24 is a sci-fi thriller and Suriya will be seen in three roles. One among them is a deadly villain who is till now unseen on screen. Suriya put himself under a lot of hard work for this particular character and it will be talked about for a long time,” he says.

Spilling more beans, Vikram says ’24’ will be a visual treat to the audience and the knot is very novel. “I watched at least 50 sci-fi Hollywood flicks to ensure that ’24’ turns out to be original and authentic. You can not find shades of any other flick in it.”
