Ever since the news broke that Ajith underwent surgeries on his knee and shoulder at a private hospital in Chennai, fans are a bit tensed. They have been conducting prayers at multiple places of worship, for the speedy recovery of the ‘thala’.

In the meantime, the latest buzz is that Ajith would commence his next film only in the second half of 2016, as he has been advised by doctors to stay out of work for at least six months. This means, there may not be any release from him next year.

“He will be under complete rest for two months and will limit his movements for the next four months,” sources added. It was an old injury which he actually sustained while shooting for ‘Arrambam’. Though doctors advised a surgery on leg, Ajith turned the medical advice down and acted with pain in ‘Veeram’, ‘Yennai Arindhaal’ and ‘Vedalam’.

But on the last day shoot of ‘Vedalam’, the injury started showing its ugly face, as the ‘thala’ suffered from immense pain and he had to be rushed to hospital. This time, doctors are bent on performing the surgery and did it on Thursday.

In the meantime, ‘Vedalam’, which hit the screens on November 10, has generated record collections in the box-office, breaking the previous records.
