It was amid much expectations director Gautham Vasudev Menon launched ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’, with Suriya and Trisha in the lead roles. However, the project was dropped due to some ‘unavoidable reasons’.

And now, we learn that the filmmaker is all set to revive his ‘dream film’, with Jayam Ravi playing the protagonist. “Gautham was mightily impressed with the actor after watching ‘Thani Oruvan’. So he wants to restart ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’ with Jayam Ravi in the lead,” sources said.

It is also said that Gautham’s production house Photo Kathas itself would produce the movie. At present, the director is busy with Simbu starrer ‘Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada’, tipped to be a romantic action thriller.

After watching ‘Thani Oruvan’, Gautham tweeted: “Thani oruvan.Congratulations Raja.. You stuck to your convictions and you LET the audience sit back and get involved. And not force them.” He added: “Director Raja has arrived. ON HIS OWN. And it’s about time..very happy for you..”
