Many actors have been linked with Mani Ratnam’s next project. But it was Karthi, who was finalized as the lead actor for the film.

Couple of actresses were also linked with the project for the role of the leading lady, and the latest name to get on the list was of Mollywood actress Sai Pallavi. The actress has been confirmed as the film’s female lead.

The Komban actor will be seen playing the role of a pilot in the flick. A source close to the film’s unit revealed, “Karthi plays an NRI, who works as a pilot in the film. He falls in love while on a trip to India".

Reportedly, the Malayalam beauty will be playing the role of a doctor in the yet-to-be titled film. The project is expected to go on floors in June this year. Karthi will take some time to join the sets of the film. The source revealed, "Karthi is busy wrapping up 'Kashmora', and for this project he has shaved his head. He has to wait for three months for his hair to grow back before he starts working on Ratnam sir's project". A.R. Rahman will be scoring the music for the project.
